It is a beautifully handcrafted Brass Durga wall decor.

The Mahishasuramardini (‘mardini’, sanskrit for slayeress) chhavi (image) of Devi Durga is the subject of the autumnal harvest festival of the Eastern Delta region.

The dashabhujadhari (one possessed of ten arms) Devi Durga is mounted upon Her simhavahana (leonine steed). The Mahishasura (buffaloe-demon) lies vanquished at Her feet, a powerful image of the end of all adharma. To Her right are Lord Ganesha and Devi Lakshmi, while Devi Sarasvati and Lord Kattikeya are to Her left.
